In Cochise County, we have the opportunity to strengthen that fabric through "Delivering Smiles," a heartfelt initiative dedicated to bringing warmth and connection to our senior neighbors. This program is more than a gesture; it is a promise to those who have shaped our community that they are cherished and remembered. At its core, "Delivering Smiles" delivers tangible comfort through care boxes filled with essential items like warm gloves, cozy blankets, and nutritious food, generously provided by partners like Making Connections 4U/Cochise Connections and Safeway. But the mission extends far beyond box contents. Our volunteers will assemble these packages with care, prepare wholesome meals, and, most importantly, spend quality time sharing stories and laughter with seniors at the Douglas and Bisbee Senior Centers. This is where we need you. We are calling upon the local organizations of Douglas and Bisbee to become architects of joy in this endeavor. Your support, whether through your resources, volunteers, or outreach, will amplify our impact exponentially.
